Preschool Room

Preschool children are busy exploring their environment and learning to communicate their own thoughts. Our preschool class is taught by an experienced teacher who provides learning opportunities everyday. She offers a variety of projects and activities allowing children to make choices and be successful. The children are engaged in a variety of learning opportunities in situations which will include social, emotional, cognitive, physical, literal, artistic and imaginative skills. Daily activities will promote a love for reading, and children will be introduced to a world of numbers and letters, learn to use acceptable social skills such as listening, sharing, taking turns, cooperating and interacting with peers. It is through child-directed play and fun that preschoolers are actually learning. 

Everyone follows a daily schedule in our preschool classroom. Children thrive off of consistency and routine. Predictable daily routines support young children in knowing what to expect, and what is expected of them. This leads to fewer disruptive behaviors.
